It happens in the days after — when framing holds moisture above 19% MC, when drywall stays wet long enough for paper to delaminate, when subfloor OSB swells past tolerance. The IICRC S500 standard defines the target: materials must reach their dry standard (typically below 16% MC for wood framing) before restoration work can begin. Texas humidity — averaging 60–70% across Parker and Tarrant counties — means passive drying won't get there. S.W.A.T. Injectidry systems push dry air directly into wall cavities and subfloor assemblies where surface-level air movers cannot reach. Dri-Eaz mat systems extract moisture directly from wet concrete slabs. This phase is where most DIY and inadequately equipped jobs fail — surface readings look good while framing inside the wall stays wet.

Daily Monitoring

Moisture content readings are taken and logged at every monitoring point daily. Psychrometric data — temperature, RH, dewpoint, and specific humidity — is recorded each visit. Equipment is adjusted based on readings. S.W.A.T. Restoration removes drying equipment only when all materials reach the IICRC S500 dry standard for their class and the applicable climate zone. The full log becomes part of the insurance documentation package.
